Little Bug

Bike Ride

Barry's parents bought a little bike for the grandkids to ride at their house. We have been trying to teach Ashlynn how to push the peddles! She is kind of staring to get the concept.

Fun at the Dixie Roundup Parade

We took Ashlynn to the Roundup parade in St. George, UT. It was fun to watch her excitment as the bands, floats, dancers, etc. went by. Barry even grew a handle bar mustache for the occasion!

Oh the places you will go.

Ok Brooke, I copied this off of your blog. I have never really sat down and looked at all of the states I have been to so this was really fun. I guess I have been to at least half of them. It looks like I need to take a trip to the Southern part of the United States!

A New Hair Style

For Halloween Ashlynn is going to be a character off of Sesame Street. Can you tell which one? This is my attempt to make her the wig of the character! I do need to cut the bangs a little bit.

Sweet Summertime

With the official start of fall just a week away I figured that it was time to make a wrap of summer. The Sorenson's had a blast this summer. We were able to spend lots of time together as a family and with our family and friends. Some of our big adventures included trips to South Dakota, Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, California, Idaho, Utah and we had a great time checking out some of the tourist attractions here in our own backyard.

Watch out for the birds!

We went to the park today for play group. Ashlynn LOVES splash pads and I didn't realize that this park had one, so instead of playing with everyone Ashlynn wanted to run through the water like a wild woman. Ashlynn loves to go and stand out in the middle of the freezing cold water and laugh! Its really funny. Ashlynn and her friends fed the ducks and geese before we left the park today. I about had a heart attack when I looked up and Gavin and Ashlynn were feeding the birds the crackers right out of their hands instead of throwing them! Yikes!!

Bubbly Toes

Ok so it seems like I am on a roll for posting. This post is out of a favor to my sis Whittney. She loves Ashlynn's "bubbly toes" and needed some pix of them for her photography class so here you go. I painted Ashlynn's toes for the first time today and she thinks they are "pretty mama." Oh yah and you owe me Whit its really hard to get her to sit still.

Tutu

Ashlynn sporting her new tutu

So everyone asks what I have been up to and I usually say, "not much." Well I guess that is not entirely true. Since I have been staying at home a little more a working a little less I have decided to become a little more "crafty." My latest crafting projects include: quite books to help save our life at church, hair bows and holders, and tada...TUTUs. Let me know what you all think. This was my first attempt at making a tutu. Ashlynn loves to wear her tutu, much to my delight. She runs around yelling, "tutu tutu." I love having a little girl. She is such a great joy.

Ashlynn had her 18 month check up today. She is in the 100th percentile for height, 97th for weight, and 95th for her head. She is a tall little girl. I think she gets that from me. She does have an ear infection though so that is a big bummer.

Bridger Lake

Bridger Lake

Our family loves to go up to the guard station at Bridger Lake, UT. Barry rode a dirt bike-yikes-at least he wore a helmet, everyone rode the 4-wheelers. The lake was beautiful.

Brenden's Football Game

We went to Brenden's football game. It was way hot!!! Ashlynn loved the cheerleaders. She cheered and clapped right along with them-yikes-I don't know the first thing about cheerleading, now give me a ball and I'm in good shape. Whitt was a big help playing with Ashlynn at the game.

Labor Day

Barry, Ashlynn, Whittney (my little sis) and I went to Wyoming over Labor Day weekend to watch my bro. Brenden's football game and visit with the fam. We had lots of fun. We went to the rendezvous at Fort Bridger, watched some football-MV got beat boo, went up into the mountains and dutch oven cooked and rode 4-wheelers. It was a great weekend.

These pictures above are at the rendezvous. For those of you who don't know what that is: thousands of people dressing up in buck skins, butt flaps, and selling beads, dead animal firs, etc!! Ashlynn had a great time trying on a variety of items. Yes that is a dead animal on top of her head and no believe it or not I didn't sanitize her head after she put it on!!
