This is Ashlynn's little friend A. They are buddies. We took Ashlynn to watch A's soccer game. Ashlynn yelled and cheered for her little friend. "Good kick, A..Good job A!" That was Saturday. Sunday A got up in church and expressed his love for Jesus. When he finished his testimony Ashlynn yelled out, "Good job A!!!" As though we were at the soccer game in her loudest voice. I could feel my face turn really red but then I realized a couple of things: 1. Ashlynn pays more attention to things and listens to more than I realize 2. What better cause is there than to cheer a friend on in their faith and love of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your example Ashlynn!

Strike

The Adamson's took us out on their boat to Strike. It was the kids' first time out on a boat. The kiddos loved it. It was fun to see Barry and Neil show off their skills on the wakeboard and ski!!!

Nine Months and Counting

Its so hard to believe that my little baby is 9 months old. We had his 9 month checkup this week. He is 22lbs, and 29 inches long. Some things he can do: crawl at lightening speed, pull himself up to stand, walk holding onto the furniture, says "go" and crawls into trouble, can feed himself with his fingers. He loves his sister so much and always tries to wrestle her and give her kisses and steal her toys. He cries when I walk out of his sight. He loves to have songs sung and books read to him. He prefers to be outside eating grass and dirt. He likes to pull himself up in front of the T.V. and bang on it. He can crawl up stairs independently-found that out the other day when I wasn't paying attention-whew luckily he didn't fall before I noticed what he was doing. He loves to be held-facing outward and on my hip. He does not like strangers. He has the most striking beautiful blue eyes. I love you Hudson B.

Air Force Appreciation Days

Doug, Rosie and Karma were able to come stay with us! We hadn't seen them for almost 4 months and so it was really fun for the kids to be able to spend time with their grandparents! We went to the Air Force appreciation days parade here in MH. Man-what an event that was. The parade was 2 hours long and Ashlynn got a HUGE bag of candy. Her favorite part of the parade, besides waving her American Flag and eating candy, was seeing Smokey Bear. She started yelling," Hi Smokey," "You came out of the forest," "Its your best friend-me Ashlynn, hi hi hi hi!" I was so happy that Smokey gave a wave to the crowd and Ashlynn thought it was for her.

Later that evening Barry and I had to take Hudson to the dr. He had yet another ear infection and a terrible cough. Poor little guy. While we were gone Ashlynn got to have a sweet night with her grandparents. They took her to a carnival and let her ride the rides a million times! Boy what a treat! Ashlynn played the basketball game and actually made both of her shots!!! She banked the first and swished the second! Girl after her momma's heart! She won a little stuffed dolphin that she and her grandpa appropriately named "DORA."

Labor Day

Over Labor Day weekend Barry went to Las Vegas to help Todd move into his new house. I was soooo lucky to have my mom and dad come stay with me. We all had such a great time. We went to a farm in Kuna and picked apples, tomatoes, peppers, and berries. We went to two farmers markets and spent all of our nights canning delicious salsa and pickled relish! My parents once again taught me a lot this weekend and I am so grateful that I was able to spend time with them. My kids adore them and I'm so glad that they got to spend time with them. We love you!

Boise State vs. Oregon

Barry was able to go to the Boise State vs. Oregon football game in Boise at the Smurf Turf. He went with Blake and it was really a great time. Boise State WON! I can't believe the fan base that Boise State has here. I thought Cougar fans were bad. I think these fans may be a close match. People had their cars and bodies all covered in blue and orange and were driving around screaming on game day and honking-my heck we don't even live in Boise! These fans crack me up! I guess that's about all I have to say about that since I didn't go to the game:)

Boise Hawks Game

Its the end of the summer and we finally made it to our first baseball game of the year! Sad right! We've usually gone to more games by now with the start of spring training but oh well life with a baby tends to slow me down a bit. We had a great time at the game. The kids made it through 4 whole innings which was a tad bit longer than I expected. Ashlynn loved the "peacock" from a distance that is:)

Hudson is really growing fast. He is able to pull himself up to stand now and tries to cruise while holding onto the furniture. He crawls everywhere and is into everything. He loves to pull himself up on the entertainment center and watch T.V. Its a never ending battle with the kid. He has started sleeping better and only wakes up at 4 or 5 in the morning now. He loves his sister dearly. He watches every move she makes and is constantly smiling at her and trying to climb all over her.

Ashlynn continues to be an angel. She is so sweet and friendly and enough words can not express what a dear little girl she is. She told me last night, "I love you as much as ladybugs love flowers." So cute seriously she is two. She has a new obsession with Dora. She has started mixing in Spanish with English and sometimes I do not know what she is talking about. She wants to wear a dress everyday. She is doing really well with her potty training. She just wears a diaper at night and for nap times. She loves chicken nuggets, grapes, chocolate milk, and cinnamon toast crunch. We just got her a little lunch box and so her new daily request is that we go on a picnic. Ashlynn has an amazing memory. I can read her a book one time and she can repeat it back almost verbatim.

Barry is doing well. He has started getting busier at work. He works hard to provide for us and he is a great daddy. Ashlynn and Hudson adore him and run and jump for joy when he walks in the door. I am doing great also. I am working 2 days a week seeing some home health patients. I did not think I would enjoy doing home health but surprisingly enough I really enough it. There are many wonderful families in ID that I have been able to meet. The families work so hard to support their loved ones with therapy and they all follow through with what I ask them to do-which is amazing and rare. We are busy with our church callings also. Barry is working in the Young Mens and I am over achievement days.

I cannot express enough my love for my children and husband. They are wonderful, special people and I love them more than anything.
